Dr. Giovanna Guerrero-Medina, in collaboration with Yale colleague Dr. Daniel Colón-Ramos, convened a group of scientists to address the COVID-19 pandemic in Puerto Rico. Fabiola Cruz Lopez, MPH, and 2017 Yale Ciencia Academy graduate, created an innovative and successful contact tracing program, initially for her hometown, and is now working for the Department of Health, leading the efforts for contact tracing in all of Puerto Rico.
